Al was formerly Director of Labor Relations for Lockheed Martin representing 50,000 employees worldwide. He surpassed 39 years of labor relations and human resource generalist experience working for Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Ford Motor Company, Ford Aerospace, Loral and currently Lockheed Martin. He administered and coordinated their labor negotiations, arbitration, Service Contract Act issues, employee-related legal matters, and labor-related/human resources training programs.

His career began in the traditional industrial relations atmosphere of Company/Union relationships, which included more conflict than resolutions. These experiences made him a proponent of creating partnerships between companies and labor organizations. This is the current philosophy he has adopted and utilized in the past 26 years. His position as past Chairman of the Board for the Texas Labor Management Association is just an extension of his management style.

Al worked on creating the “Employee Involvement Program” at Ford Motor Company. This program established the Corporate roadmap and “change agent” for improving Company/Union relationships, without compromising either parties’ interests. Al continues to utilize these principles and “lessons learned “in all of his labor negotiations dealing with more than 20 labor organizations.

He has been a member of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (formerly the Industrial Relations Research Association) for over 30 years.

His peers and staff personnel at the Department of Defense and Department of Labor ( DoL) have recognized Al as a technical expert on the Service Contract & Davis Bacon Acts. He collaborates with the Department of Defense Labor Advisors and DoL Wage & Hour Staff in Washington, DC to effect changes benefiting employees covered by the Service Contract Act.

The Contract Services Association has had Al as a member for over 16 years, and he is currently the Chairman of their Labor Relations Committee. He coordinates and instructs at their semi-annual Service Contract training with the DoL in Washington, D. C.

Currently Al is Vice President, Human Resources Solutions for Contractor Solutions Group, Inc. and President of MARAL, LLC.

Al has a BA from the University of Buffalo, NY and an MBA from Central Michigan University, Mt. Clemens, Mich. He has a son Michael, daughter Jennifer; and resides in Smithfield, VA with his wife Marilyn of 39 years.
